The Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF) is excited to announce that applications for its 2025 Entrepreneurship Programmes are now open. This is an incredible opportunity for African entrepreneurs to access world-class training, expert mentoring, and non-refundable seed capital to bring their business ideas to life or scale existing businesses.

Since 2015, the Tony Elumelu Foundation has empowered over 21,000 African entrepreneurs, providing $100 million in direct funding. These entrepreneurs have created more than 800,000 jobs and generated over $4.2 billion in revenue. Programmes Available:
1. TEF Entrepreneurship Programme
- Open to all African entrepreneurs with innovative ideas or existing businesses (not older than five years).
- Special focus on businesses leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) and green initiatives.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
2. IYBA-WE4A Entrepreneurship Programme
- Exclusively for women entrepreneurs in Senegal, Tanzania, Uganda, Cameroon, Kenya, Mozambique, Malawi, and Togo.
- Focused on green business ideas or existing green businesses.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old, with businesses not exceeding five years in operation.
3. Aguka Ideation Programme
- In partnership with UNDP Rwanda, this programme supports young Rwandan entrepreneurs aged 18-30.
- Offers $3,000 in seed capital to develop innovative business ideas.
Application Details:
- Platform: Applications must be submitted through TEFConnect.
- Application Period: January 1, 2025 – March 1, 2025.
- Eligibility: Open to African entrepreneurs with scalable business ideas or businesses not older than five years.
- No Application Fees: The process is free. Beware of scams requesting payments for application assistance.
